Longjing (龙井茶), also known as “Dragon Well”, is one of China’s most revered teas. A pan-roasted green tea that was developed in the West Lake (西湖) district of Hangzhou, it offers a uniquely fresh & chestnut-like, mellow flavour. Pan-roasting stops the process of oxidation, and retains the fresh flavour profile, also eliminating the bitterness that some green teas are known for. 

Our Longjing is grown in Jiande District (建德), Hangzhou. This is a prestigious & historic green tea growing region protected from heavy industry. Jiangde is known for combining traditional tea cultivation methods with modern processing. Although our Longjing is not produced within the prestigious West Lake district (with Geographic Indication status) it is from the Greater Hangzhou region, also regulated by strict production methods, designated by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage.
